What lies ahead for 2022?

After selling some of Cheale Hulmes best homes in 2021 what lies ahead for 2022?

2021 was a very busy year for us here at Snowden Wilkinson as we saw so many lovely families move into their new dream homes. So here, we take a sneak peek into 2022 after a very busy start to the year.

The demand in our area has been high for many years with Cheadle Hulme and Bramhall being a popular choice due to the ease of access into Manchester for both work and play, not forgetting the proximity to the beautiful Cheshire countryside and the Peak District for those long Sunday Walks.

We have some of the area’s best schools which attracts families to the area and of course excellent local shops, bars, and restaurants, and a friendly community that is a pleasure to work and live in.

We often talk to potential buyers about the area and with some enthusiasm too as we all live here so “Selling Cheadle Hulme” when people may be considering other Manchester suburbs is important. It’s also a joy when people do settle in the area, and we may bump into many months later to hear how happy they are and how they have fitted in so quickly, particularly if they are sat next to the fire in the Church or the Milly which both have very loyal local followings!

Local demand will remain high in 2022 as on top of the obvious reasons the area is popular, we have seen increased demand from people who want to upgrade and get more space due to the rise in work from home options and increased flexibility offered by employers.

The demand for more outside space has also been noticeable, and not just from families with children and pets but from buyers who want to build garden rooms for both pleasure and as workspaces. Garden rooms have been a major draw for buyers and according to one of our clients who builds them he cannot keep up with demand from new clients to install them.

Another strong sector has been for starter homes as young adults themselves need more private space than maybe the family home can offer especially if they are working and studying from home.

With all the demand and a limited supply, the outlook is good for our area.

If you need any advice about buying, selling, or renting locally give us a call or message us on socials and we will help you all we can.
